Public authorities

Public authorities have to comply with specific rules, such as rules on transparency (the Openness of Government Act)  and specific general principles of good governance. Our law firm has ample experience in advising and litigating for public authorities. Groenendijk & Kloppenburg Lawyers advised and assisted several municipalities, provinces, district water boards, educational institutions, universities and semi-state-controlled companies. The work of our lawyers for various public authorities has led to three verdicts by the Supreme Court; on the polder levies in the “Meren neighbourhood” in Leiden and two verdicts about zoning schemes (Warmond-Polyproject I; Click here for verdict).
